I started painting my first animal portraits when I was sick and in a lot of pain. When no medication helped, the process of painting magically took my mind off my physical ailments and focused on the wonderful world of color and shape. I’ll be forever grateful for these first commissions from people who wanted their companion animals portrayed. I hope these pictures still bring them as much joy as they have brought me.
Ein neuer Anfang
Die ersten Aufträge für Tierportraits habe ich gemalt, als ich sehr krank war und unter starken Schmerzen litt. Zwar konnten keine Medikamente gegen diesen Zustand helfen, aber der Malprozess half mir, meine Aufmerksamkeit weg vom Körper und in die Welt von Farbe & Form “umzuleiten”. Ich bin für meine ersten Klienten sehr dankbar und hoffe, dass sie immer noch viel Freude an den Portraits ihrer tierischen Begleiter haben.
